The blog has also been a great excuse to experiment with different drawing techniques, media and paper.
As well as drawing with colored pencil I have been playing with :
- rich and creamy oil pastels (is that drawing or painting?)
- Pan Pastels - those irresistible pots of pure color
- Prismacolor Art Stix
- powdered red chalk
- and combining pastel pencils and charcoal
In fact I have come to love drawing with charcoal so much, that they and now have their own series "Carbon Footprints", moodily magnifying my daily detritus
For more color pencil art have a look at my Miniature Landscapes and the series Life of a Still Life
