Green Shoots of Growth and Expansion

Fantastic News! The Jewish Family Service Food Pantry raised a whopping $70,000 from last month's fund raiser! That's a lot of Kosher Hot Dogs! I'd love to tell you that was all from my art sales, but, alas, no. I did find some good homes for a couple of pieces though and I met lots (and lots!) of lovely people, and some great artists too. Yummy food and good music, what a great opening reception.

As you may have noticed, this newsletter comes to you from a different address this month. My mailing list has got too big to manage all by myself, so I have enlisted the help of an online service. If I ended up in your Spam Box today, you may have to add this new email to your approved senders list : Jo_Bradney@mail.vresp.com to keep receiving these newsletters. If you didn't notice any difference, well you probably don't have to do anything at all.

you can still contact me on the old address jo@bradney.com
and I do love to hear what's on your mind

Enjoy the daffodils!

Exhibitions News

NJCVA Juried Student Exhibition

Onions, Black and White has been accepted into the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts Annual Juried Student Exhibition.

I hope you can join me for the Opening Reception on Thursday 30th April 6-8pm. It is always good to see a friendly face or two in the crowd.

There is a Faculty Exhibition on at the same time and I think this is an excellent way to promote their classes. You can now put art work to what was once only a name in a catalogue and see the results of their teaching at the same time. I hope Gerry Heydt gets a few more sign up for "Oil Painting 101" this year. She helped me take my first baby steps in a daunting new medium and set me on an exciting journey.

Don't Panic!
Three months ago I didn't know what RSS was, now I use it at least twice a day. It is so useful for keeping up with the latest news from my favorite websites, especially if they have frequent updates.

When you subscribe, the feed is added to a list, a little like a bookmark or favorites list, except that the link will turn BOLD to let you know that the website has been updated. Wherever you see this orange symbol online, there is an RSS feed available.

You can read the new post straight in a feed reader or click through to the website.

Feed ReaderHere's where to find it.

Click the Star Button in the top left corner of the browser to bring up your favorite bookmarks.
Then click the orange Feeds button to show your subscriptions list.

Firefox calls them "Live Bookmarks" and you can also sign up for a free reader with Google.
