Thank you for braving the weather to "Celebrate Summer" this week. I trust the irony added an extra dimension to your enjoyment of the show.
There was a constant stream of interesting, chatty people who came to enjoy the art, as well as the juicy buffet of summer fruit. A fun and successful opening by any standard, but there proved to be an extra tasty strawberry on the platter. And with that, I would like to welcome Steve and Elaine to the Collectors' Clan. They fell in love with "Whoosh" and I am delighted it will be going to a good home. As you know, red spots have a tendency to multiply (well it is a Medical Center) and by the end of the evening two more red Sold spots had emerged. I am really happy that Netté Forne Thomas and Roberta Reynolds also sold work. Previously ... on "Back to the Drawing Board" No longer constrained by the limitations of a sketchpad, this drawing of a beautiful avocado skin grew to 15" x 15".
