The Madness of March

Well February has just flown past in a whirlwind of activity, preparing for the show at the L&M Gallery in March. There are always a thousand little details spinning around inside my head. Is everything framed? Do I need new business cards? Did I remember to sign the paintings? Have I labeled everything? Do I need to order more prints?

Many, many tasks are still to be completed. But there's time. I have to stay in the calm eye of the storm, not to be overwhelmed by the swirling details.
That, and keep a very long list.

Art Show to Stock the Food Pantry at JFS
I hope you can stop by for the Opening Reception on Sunday 15th March 2-5pm. I will have an extensive display of my miniature landscapes and small works, as well as the new oil portraits of fruit and vegetables. It is the first time I have shown the black and white paintings, so I am interested to see how you like them.

There are seventeen other NJ artists also helping to raise money for the JFS. 15% of all sales will help the Food Pantry to provide regular weekly assistance and emergency food packages to those in need. I am sure you can appreciate that in times such as these, they are a charity with increasing demands on their limited resources.

Thank you for all your comments and encouragement on the new blog site. Last month's large color pencil picture was finished in record time, partly, I'm sure, because I was excited to share the next stage with you. I hope you enjoyed watching its progress. I found it extremely helpful to share the process with you, keeping me focused on the task.

This last picture was such fun, that there is now a new one on the drawing board. I see these as a triptych, so I guess that means there will be another skinny one to round out the trio.
