Oil Paintings
I really enjoy painting from life, and vegetables are one of my favorite subjects - they have such great textures and subtle colors.
And of course onions are the best of the best. I have never met an onion I didn't want to paint
Grocery shopping takes on a whole new meaning when you are choosing vegetables for their aesthetics, rather than your menu plan. Most rarely stand up to a few days under the hot studio lights - they wrinkle and mould and decay too quickly.
This wanton destruction of good, edible food in the name of art sparked the idea for the series Carbon Footprints
