Growing up in Britain, I only ever saw these in the movies or on imported American TV shows; a gathering of people casually picking and choosing and sharing the delicacies from within the litter of elegant little boxes, laughing with friends or burning the midnight oil on an important deadline.
Even now they retain a certain exotic mystery that gives me a thrill of pleasure and reminds me that I am on an adventure in a foreign land.
